Get to Know Kelly
Kelly has watched the near-demise of the auto-empire centered in Michigan and the fall-out across the region. Her desire is to save and create as many fulfilling jobs as possible so people can contribute and support their families.
Professionally…
Kelly began her career in the Aerospace industry with a design/manufacturer of Aircraft Wheels and Brakes. After ten years in this field she returned to school with the desire to help adults better themselves through learning.
With a Master’s Degree under her belt, she began teaching IT professionals some administration and programming courses. But due to the constantly changing nature of that field, she adjusted her repertoire to critical skills such as team building, presentation skills and project management. As she served her manufacturing clients she found opportunities to learn and practice and lean manufacturing tools. She soon realized these could be converted to the office and has since helped people who work in the office.

Personally…
Kelly was born and raised in the Midwest. The oldest of three girls, she grew up on a small farm and the family showed horses as a hobby throughout her teen years. With a co-op job, $10,000 in student loans and help from her parents, she made it through college. AlliedSignal was a blessing to her in that she had enough money in her 401K to go back to college full time, and this is also where she met her husband Bill.
Today, Kelly and Bill split their time between Kohler, WI (where Bill invests his time until retirement) and Muskegon, MI where OptiComp (dba LeanOfficeSource) is incorporated. They see their extended families regularly and visit with their children and grandchildren as often as possible.
